Good Evening All,
Will be a cold couple of nights here in St. Louis after some really nice spring weather. Will drop below freezing the next 3 nights. All my trees back to being protected till Sunday. Thought I'd post some updated pictures of my son's shimpaku. This tree was initially worked on under the watchful eyes of Tigra Urusibata, son of Nobuichi Urusibata of Taisho-en. The tree was imported from him for the first shohin convention of our club here in St. Louis in 2009. I gave my son who was 16 at the time my spot in Tigra's work shop. The tree has gone through two re-styling with the help of Michael Hagedorn following Tigra's original vision for the tree. We are almost there. The tree was worked on by my son and Michael two weeks ago. Should be a sweet little tree when its done. Time to hunt for its pot to Tigra's original specification. Here are some pics of Dancing Tiger's journey.
