Torn up tamarack

  I collected this Tamarack last spring. This tree looks like it was run over and sometime in the past it looks like it was on fire judging by the charred bark. This is all that was there. The top 6' was dead.

Looks good, nice fat base, you may actually be able to turn this into a larch with taper in the trunk. Nice project.

  Thanks. Just letting it grow this year. Next year I'll have to get in there and pick branches to keep and get some wire on it. I'm going to have get a handle on the rotten wood also.
