I agree, a light green oval. It looks good. I see it's in a nursery pot. Is it from a nursery, or collected from the wild?  Larry

I grew it from seed.  It's been in a nursery pot for about 3 decades and it's finally ready for a nice container.  I think the green oval would look nice with the red fall foliage.

Thanks for all the suggestions!  Here's the container that it's going to go into in the spring.  I've seen some really nice pots that I'd love to have but don't have the funds to buy a new pot so what I have will do just fine for my eye anyway!

Very nice. So rare to see anything decent grown from seed.

Maybe bringing the trunks closer together might improve it.

Three decades! I'm impressed.  In this age of quick fixes and instant gratification it is refreshing to see someone take the time and effort to develop from seed their own creation. It speaks volumes about your patience, dedication and care in nurturing a living tree trough it development.  My hat is off to you. My hope is that when the time comes someone else will share in the tree's culture with the same dedication and devotion and it passed on through the generations.
