Title: White Pine Question
Post by: jlushious on July 15, 2014, 10:15 PM
These are the new growth shoots extending on my eastern white pine, they don't look like any picture of candles I have seen before... is this normal? Sorry I am pretty new to the pines, this one is a 3-year old bare root I got recently from a local grower.

First pic is the whole tree, second is a close up of the new growth/candle?

Thanks, Jodie

They're just vigorous candles with long necks!

Hello All,

that's the way they grow.

Best,

Thanks folks! At least it's pushing new growth, my pondy's are sulking/maybe dying...
