Good air circulation reduces the likelihood that fungus will take hold.

Also recirculates air to redistribute heat from top to bottom.

Nice tree! don't usualy like clumps, but I would definatly water this one!! Sweet pot also, but in a few years maybe go back to a shallow tray to make the nebari pop out. I can see a nice majestic trident maple in that pot.
