Hello Forum!

I noticed plant bugs-aphids-on both of my trees. They are usually all over the leaves. When I first noticed them, the population with small;however, the rate increased rapidly. I decided to buy something organic to avoid harming the trees. I purchased "Safer Brand 5110 Insect Killing Soap."I applied it using the directions on the bottle. Today I checked that both trees look unhealthy. The leaves harden. Some turned black and were hanging down. Others turned into a lighter green. I removed most of the dead leaves.
However, another reason could be that I underwater. I did not water the trees for 6 days. The temperature dropped to mid 50s. I check the soil and I still sense moisture. I watered them today to be safe.
Here are some pictures:

Your feedback is gladly appreciated,
Nick

Leaf death is certainly possibly due to underwatering. Insufficient water is a typical new-to-bonsai problem and comes down to misinformation in the internet.

Carmona/Fukien Tea are some of the hardest trees to keep happy, I've had several and will never buy another one, ever.

Edit: I just re-read your post and you said it was still moist.

I've not use this soap , only the spray on stuff in a can and that works.

Mid-50's temps can be another cause...

Do not water if the soil is still moist. You may have had some root death during the period of non-watering and now you are technically over-watering which is counter productive to replace those roots which have perished. Hopefully its not too late. But do your best to eliminate all stressors: not enough water, too much water, too much heat, too much cold, keep it in a semi shady area not direct sun unless its really cool where you are, do not fertilize right now.

Thank you, are you sure it was because of under watering. My brush cherry is totally fine and I did not water it for 6 days too. I believe the spray caused it. I placed it in a shady area. Should I remove the dead leaves hanging on the tree?

I have no idea what caused it. I just provided you with general care and aftercare instructions. Add misting leaves to the list of care instructions

Fukien tea is very sensitive to insecticides, chemicals on the whole.

They require lots of sunlight /light to stay very healthy.

Look up this guy on Google, Carl Rosner, he lives in New Jersey and has tons of experience growing Fukien teas indoors.
He is an Artist and can be contacted through his website.

If he likes you, he will also send you seed and you can simply try again, just in case you lose your shrubs.
Later.

First.... fukien tea donot go indoor.

Rescue. ...
transfer to 60% sun light... water only whenn soil is dry...
After 2 weeks.. 100% sunlight..

Hope and best wishes to your tree if it can survive through...
