Removed a large branch coming off of the left branch....there's a real(though small
 at this time) back branch to take its place...worked on the pads a little.

Sorry for the background but it's too large for me to move easily.

The "after" photo looks better. The hollow trunk and huge base give it a lot of character.

Thanks Larry. It has a long ways to go. I envision it about 9-10 inches taller with a rounded crown.

Andy,

   I love this tree with the proportions it has now. The trunk and base are wonderful.

I think you can bring it back into rounded within the silhoutte you have now.

I fear the virt canopy too large?

A seasons ramification from here and its gold to me.!

I like the smaller crown, but the virt is cool too. It reminds me of a big southern oak tree.
