Give it a shot with this. It's a Seiju Elm around 30 years old and 20" tall.

I thought I'd give it a shot too. I have had this ficus for about a year now and it has changed pretty dramatically. It is pretty mucho only tree in the refinement stage.

Shohin Pyracantha Firethorn - Simple young tree grown to add color to the shohin bench in the pool cabana during the winter dormancy period. Thought you'd enjoy the red berries for the December Tree of the Month. Ive owned the tree for two years and immediately repotted in in the Max Braverman (Pine Garden) cream pot to offset the deep red of the fruit. Certainly not one of the best shohin I have but putting on a spectacular red display none the less. Hagedorn told me while in Japan he painted thousands of these fruits with a sugar water solution to slow them from drying out and keep them plump for shows. I've done the same with little guy ( I can not imagine doing thousands). JRob

Here is a pyracantha I collected in Pass Christian, MS in 2005, a few months before Katrina wiped out the area.  It was reduced to a stump and developed to this state in a container over the last 8 years.  The current height is about 27", and the pot is a signed Aiba Koyo, with a Fuyo-en chop.

Development thread is here: http://bonsaistudygroup.com/fruiting-and-flowering-bonsai-discussion/pass-christian-pyracantha/

Thanks,
BVF
