Title: Fall color o. My shohin spirea
Post by: davestree on November 04, 2014, 08:27 AM
Here is the fall color on my spirea. Best it has ever been. This tree is about 8 inches tall and has good color in spring, summer, and winter.

That's just a great tree, even without the fall color...but even more stunning with the foliage so brilliant!

Very nice.

I'm always on the lookout at nurseries for spirea with any kind of trunk, but still haven't found one. Picked up a couple a year or two ago and planted them in the garden. Maybe someday I'll be able to harvest them for bonsai!

Thanks for your comments. I have only seen a handful of spirea with a big trunk.  Strangely, the trunk has gotten fatter in the pot.
