Shimpaku from workshop @ Bonsai Learning Center
« on: July 19, 2010, 08:55 AM »
Below you'll find what has so far resulted from a workshop taken @ the BLC in Charlotte NC.  I've got about another hour of wiring left on this one.  Particularly the apex.  Theres also one branch on the right just under the apex that will significantly declutter the image once its wired.

gday Wayne,

are you planing on bringing the apex down and to the right? i think that would fix that little gap and give the crown a nice rounded finish.

That's the plan.  I think once the crown is set and the remaining 1-2 branches that haven't been detail wired get taken care of it'll look a lot nicer.  I was planning on finishing it last night, but sometimes life gets in the way.  If I don't get to it before then, I'll finish it up at my study group meeting this weekend.

Nice work Wayne (I know you have a few little things left that you have described). Then, let it grow and get strong.

I agree with Kirby, let it rest and recover, but I couldn't resist a few quick virts.  Just playing around with some different ideas.
