Shimpaku 2004 - 2008
« on: August 10, 2010, 09:52 PM »
This shimp was bought from a club member who had a small bonsai business and was selling out. I picked it up for $95. I knew I had some work ahead of me with this one but I was up for the challenge. ;D

And I must say I had a blast working on it too. The wiring was the fun part as this is what gives the tree a whole new look and a direction for the future. This was right after the work was finished.

This pic was taken in 2008 and is the best one I can find for now, Once this heat breaks over here (maybe Oct. :'() I'll have to take some more up to date ones.

Hmm, I'm not convinced with the new pot.  Maybe something a bit larger, more shallow, more rustic?  Nanban or drum perhaps?
