Good Morning All,
Had a great weekend working with Michael in STL. It was our fall study group. Bonsai & baseball in November. What Fun! Here is a shohin shimpaku that i picked up 3 years ago for $75.00 in terrible condition. Spent the time restoring its health and directing new foliage to recreate the canopy. This is its first styling and I hope to have it ready to show at the STL Shohiin Convention in two years. Here are the before and after photos from Sat. morning.

I love the movement in this tree. The deadwood seems well executed and is starting to have the appearance of age.

Good Evening All,
Here is a picture from today. What a difference a year makes. All my trees are pushing since the early heat of the summer in June, July broke. I'll work on this tree again in October with my teacher.

That really filled in nicely...looks like it enjoyed your warm summer, I'd say.

Good Evening All,
Here is an update taken this evening after I spent a few minutes giving it a trim from the flush after the temps cooled from the long hot spring and summer.
