Title: YOSE-UE Style Satsuki
Post by: JRob on November 22, 2009, 08:48 AM
Good Morning All,

The Yose-ue style is a group planting. In his book "Japanese Satsuki Bonsai, Shogo Watanabe on page 14 has a great photo of Kinsai done in this style. I have a great large shallow oval Tom Dimig pot (Black with a wide honey color lip/rim) that I have been wanting to use and I think a forest planting of one type of satsuki might look really spectacular in it. Mr. Watanabe states that this style of planting is very hard to do with satsuki yet his photos are wonderful. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has done one and what was your success rate. It would be nice to see some photos if you would be willing to share for inspiration.
