Here is another flower pattern on Karen that opened up today. It is called jiai-shibori because the dark pattern occurs on a pink background.

Nice variety one a single plant, what more could you ask for...beautiful! Here are a few of mine that are coming into bloom now. Like I said before I got these from a local nursery and most were not labled for variety. So if anyone knows the names I would certainly appreciate it. I think this first one is Higasa, the flowers are HUGE! The next one has similar flowers, leaf shape and size, and growth habit. But the blooms are a little smaller and more orange pink with no throat patch. The third one is maybe Kogetsu not sure.

Here is the more orange one. Sorry for the half eaten flower, it was the only one open. The Katy-dids seem to love these blooms.

I think we're all just speechless - those are gorgeous trees :)

Just out of curiosity, can you tell us the name of the various cultivars?  I love the flower shapes on the first, and love the flower colors on the second.
