Making a broom J. Maple
« on: August 18, 2011, 11:32 AM »
I was given a J. Maple from a friend. It was to tall for the size of trunk. I cut it way back still leaving leaves on it. Can I go ahead and cut it back and start making it a broom or should I wait till next spring?

For the sake of making this thread useful, why don't you share the answer?

I'd recommend waiting 'til next spring though.

Gonna wait till spring. I won't have enough time for the new leaves to fully harden off.
