It looks like you've been taught well John, as the tree is really coming along good. Looking at the purchase picture, I don't know what you saw in it but you did an incredible job so far. Down the road a couple of years and you'll have one fantastic JBP. ;)

It is that time of the year to pull old needles and pretty up the tree in preparation for wiring and then spring growth. This tree was initially styled in December 2004, was dramically reducedby runing in Summer 2013 and now ready for wiring again. Will post pictures post cleanup when finished.

Now it can be called the Going Yard tree!

That's a Homerun for you Cubs Fans.

And a Pennant is a triangular scroll...

OK after6 or so hours of picking, pulling and plucking, ready for a bit of a cool rest. I hope to wire in midFebruary to get it back on track. One thing for those just learning the joys of two needle Japanese Pines, it is really easy to get "too many" branches and branchlets using modern candling technique. The hard part is selecting which branches and buds to keep. Resulting in a balanced tree. Few more years on this one.

I have 8 or 9 sets. How many do you need? Minor (100%) markup with free shipping.

Too many branches.......

Sorry to disappoint you, John, Gremel recently sent me two sets.

"Too many branches..."  LOL!  It is a case of "Be careful of what you wish for... You may get it!"
