Boon was standing there when I told Peter he'd be doing some grafting, and Boon said that I didn't need Peter to graft my trees, that I could do it.  He continued on saying that he had taught both of us how to do it.

I replied that I thought I'd give Peter something interesting to do.

Then, I realized that Boon was right.  I can do it.

So, I've gone out to my trees, and I'm looking at them thru different eyes.  I now have the skills to put branches on where I want them.  So, I've marked several branches that I'm not going to decandle, I want them to grow some more so I can bend them around and graft them back.

Adair,
I started to have that same feeling after watching you and Boon graft your pine at the Spring Show workshop. I am planning on working with Peter Tea to graft a trident at the upcoming July workshop. Reminds me of the old saying of "Watch One, Do One, Teach One"

Matsu,

I'll get someone to photograph my next grafting adventures.  Meanwhile, there were some photos taken of when Boon grafted my pine.  Hopefully, Dave will start a new thread showing that graft, and I'll keep it updated.
