Post by: Lim Pek Wee on August 13, 2015, 12:36 PM
Hi Guys got my juniper and black pine few days ago placed it at my balcony next to window, but a friend of mine told me
they are outdoor bonsai will not survive indoor.

I m living in Singapore staying at HDB apartment if I install additional lighting above my juniper n JBP does it help or
any other solutions.

Yes, outdoor trees. They will not survive indoors.

The pine will NOT survive indoors.  The juniper may survive, but it will not be happy.

Singapore will be a challenge for both species as you sit essentially on the equator at near sea kevel. I understand that there are a number of Bonsai "Clubs" in Singapore, you would be well served to see if there is somine who rents outside bench space with afternoon protction. I have heard that a number of enthusiasts in Thailand have been buying Japanese Temperate specues and having limited success with them, if any. Let us know what you find out locally.
