Title: JBP Semi Cascade Progression
Post by: Thomas J. on August 02, 2010, 05:04 PM
For those who know me will have probably seen these pics at one time or another on other forums, but for those who don't I'll post them here. Besides, can you ever get enough of JBPs? ;D

This tree along with a few others that I'll be posting were purchased in the late spring of 2007. I thought I would be going with this front at that time.

Somehow though it just didn't look that great at this angle and decided to see what my options were.

The following year I decided to use this as my front. I believe this pic was taken right after the decandleing that year.

The fall work of 2009 gave me this. It looked to me like it was coming along very nice.

I must admit I was quite stunned this spring to see how much the new candles pushed out. Must be doing something
right. ;D

And the most recent pic after decandleing this year.
I think it's getting closer to being a cascade rather than a semi cascade. :)

Nice progression, I like the new front much more than the old front. Good eye.

I would only suggest leaving the weaker lower candles walone to gather strength, orvto work the top "harder" that is, leave pegs (candle stumps) longer and fewervneedles on the strong parts than on the weaker areas to balance troth. The tree looks very strong, you are certainly doing things right!

Wow, great progression and great transformation.  I too like the new front much better.  Thanks for sharing!

A candidate for Tree of the Month?  :)

Thanks to both Johns for the positive comments, and to Mr. Kirby for the suggestions on improving the tree. ;D

ThomasJ, I hang around with Boon (too much?), there is always an opportunity to improve a tree- even the great ones.
