JBP Retirement Plan Thread
« on: February 01, 2013, 07:11 PM »
Hello Everyone.  I've been lurking here for a very long time and thought I would post something today.  The following is my collection of undone JBP in various stages of becoming a bonsai.

Here the the two bigger ones.

Here are some small cuttings.  It's going to be a long long while before they look like anything.  These are going to go into a 1 gallon this weekend.

I'm planning to keep this thread updated as I work on them.

Welcome to the Bonsai Study Group.  Please take a moment to read the Welcome thread.

If you have images to share with your post we ask that you upload them here. Ideally we want users to upload their photos here for discussion, as often external links and embedded photos become broken as images and other files are removed or URLs change.  Additionally, images posted here are hidden from guests, encouraging visitors to register for the site and contribute to the community.  You can still embed uploaded images within your post using Bulletin Board Code and the uploaded image URL.  If you need a reference please visit the help section of this site. If you need further assistance please feel free to post your question to the forum feedback section.

You are allowed to edit a post for up to 45 minutes.  If that time passes and you wouldn't mind uploading your photos in a separate post a forum moderator will be happy to edit and place the images for you.

Re-potted the older one to a 5 gallon pot.  Here's a closer shot at the base.

You did not give your name, you can change pga7602  to what ever in the profile section. Did you get those from cuttings? I was thinking about trying to do some JBP cuttings. When did you make them and how well did they root? I would like to know what method you used to make them with.
Thanks for that post, I did a couple of approach grafts today on my JBP and an Air Layer on my Japanese maple. I'll post some pictures.

I bought them from a local Nursery who had them listed as JBP cuttings.  Would love to see the grafts.  I'll keep an eye out for your future postings.  Thank you.
