JBP Experts, next question
« on: November 07, 2011, 10:29 PM »
Anyone with experience of standard needle cutting technique June/July where sacrifice branches are left to grow freely?  Does ramification and needle reduction occur if areas of the tree are allowed free growth?

Thanks, Josh

Yes, but with potentially less uniformity from top to bottom. Just remember to not let your sacrifice have too much growth that might block/shade the branches you want (remove low needles and side branches where they might interfere.
