Title: different JBP...

this JBP looks different compared to my other JBP that i have...the needles are a little lighter green and thicker and have more of a pointed tip than the others...when i bought it, it said JBP...

I bought a Sanshyu JBP from Meehan's a few years ago that I have in the ground.  It has needles similar to the one you have.  There are dozens of cultivars though, so it could be something else.

lot's of variation in seedling JBP, this one looks god and healthy, the thick, stiff and sharp needles are a good sign. Treat like the other one. We have probably 1000 JBP in different stages, you see trees that look like they may not be the same species from time to time, lots of variation available to choose from.
