Title: Winter Preparation
Post by: BonsaiEngineer1493 on November 03, 2014, 06:28 PM
Guys,

Last winter I had trouble with some trees coming out of dormancy early. My garage would not go below 45 degrees. I am thinking about getting a large plastic deck box from Lifetime. In addition, I will place some mulch in the box for insulation.

What do you think?

I'm thinking you probably are over thinking winter protection, assuming you have temperate, cold hardy tree species.  Place them up against the north side of your house, mulch the pots and you are done, plus/minus providing a wind break as needed.
