Title: Wicked storms in St. Louis Last Night
Post by: JRob on May 01, 2010, 08:11 AM
Some wicked storms moved through the St. Louis area last night and we spent a 1/2 hour in the basement as the tornado sirens screamed. You know your really hooked deep in bonsai when you are deciding which trees to take with you to the basement on the spare of the moment. Shimsuki and I each selected 5 and dodged the rain and hail to get them under cover with us. My wife found our antics amusing and could not believe we'd get drenched to save a few trees.

As it turned out our neighborhood was been spared any real damage and the lights were only out about 15 minutes as the fast moving storm passed over. Benches all OK and the all the outdoor bonsai are fine. You've got to love the midwest!

Glad to hear everyone and your trees are ok.  On the east coast, we very very rarely get tornados, so I can only imagine how scary those times must be for you guys.
