MC, pick up the 1000 hole head, works better at lower pressure and disturbs soil less at high pressure.

Thanks for the tip.  It looks like they are on sale at Amazon so I'll try it out.

While your there you should check out the Dramm 22730 Touch N Flow Pro. I like it much better than the brass control

Thanks, I'll have to check it out.  I have one of their shorter regular wands, but was thinking that a longer one might be more useful.

Yeah I bought the 36" Aluminum extension, it's lightweight and it definitely makes it easier reaching the pots on my bench, and it's great for watering just the base of the plants like my pines and tomatoes (etc) in the vegetable gardens

So the 1000 hole watering head arrived yesterday and I tried it out.  It works very very well.  It puts out about as fine a spray as the masakuni, but watering time is much faster.  I would have preferred a metal construction body like the 400 hole series, but the plastic seems to be of pretty strong quality.  Thanks very much for the recommendation.
