Title: Trees are out
Post by: JRob on March 17, 2012, 05:36 PM
Good Afternoon All,

Nice thunderstorm going on in STL now. If i didn't know better I'd think I was living back in Florida. Everyday this week 80 degrees or above and afternoon showers. Took the day off work friday and setup my benches outside. If it gets too cold I'll move the trees into the garage to protect them but extended forecast has our temperatures well above normal. The daffodils and narcissus are not happy campers, they are fading fast. Because of the unusually warm weather everything is pushing like mad. Kipper and Oliver (the dogs) and I had a great day. Today I finished all the repotting I need to do this year with the exception of our satsukis. I am meeting up with Dave and friends at Satsuki Bonsai-en next weekend for a repotting workshop Sat & Sun and should then be done. Is a good thing because my gardens need some attention.

Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am.

Regards to All,

So are you ready for the snow after Easter?

John,

I can remember snows in April! If it gets cold and the forecast is for temperatures below 40 I'll move them into the garage and turn on the heater to keep them from freezing if necessary. Don't have that many trees that it would be a problem.
