Tree I.D. Help
« on: August 26, 2014, 01:00 PM »
Hi, so I recently became very interested in bonsai and my mom grabbed a bonsai tree.  It was at a mall kiosk so I was a tad sketched out when she said that but I wanna make it work.  I also have no idea of the species because of this but its clearly some sort of evergreen.

Just a heads up on what I've done since I've got it,
Repotted to a much larger pot to promote growth
Soil consists of sphangum moss, perilite, and gravel(grit) pretty even mixture with the least being the moss.
The soil has excellent drainage I'm a little worried it has too much drainage and I may need to add some more moss but its seems to be OK.

I also mist it once a day after I water it usually much later in the day and I water around 9-11.

Juniper procumbens 'Nana'.

Keep it outside.  I thought from our conversation yesterday that you liked tropicals.

Love tropicals just don't have the time quite yet to be at the greenhouse daily, soon though very soon.
