The tree that started our love affair
« on: March 22, 2014, 07:13 PM »
Afternoon All,

This morning I repotted my son's tree that started our love affair with bonsai. Commonly called Kingsville this boxwood came from a garden in Washington DC that was being re-done. Its history is detailed in previous threads. It was a gift to my sone when he made the St. Louis Symphony orchestra. Just this week he was admitted to the Yale School of Music to work on a Master's Degree studying with Ransom Wilson. He will be moving to New Haven in August. I guess I'll be taking care of his trees for another two years while he continues his schooling. JRob

Nice bones!  And I like the pot choice, the color really sets it off well.   A Lovely, and great memory tree

Congratulations to shimsuki for his accomplishment.  And, of course, congrats to you for preparing him to be successful.

Congratulations to the scholar and family! Let him know that New Haven has a very active and civic minded bonsai club that might be an option on slow Tuesdays.
