Spring? What was I thinking!!!
« on: April 29, 2010, 12:22 PM »
Well I just got my internet back. Northern Vermont got hit with a late snow storm. It arrived early Tuesday AM (1st picture) and was going strong by late in the day (2nd picture). During the storm, the snow was extremely wet and heavy, took down trees and broke phone and electric lines.

We were OK, but did loss power for a few hours, internet and phones were out till an hour ago.

Next post has a couple of more pixs.

The first picture here is just about at the end of the snow. The last picture show one of the cars, or at least I think it's a car.
Mother nature is ALWAYS the boss.

As for trees, brought most in and the few that remained out should be fine. The landscape trees are another story. This was a very late in the season storm. We have had extremely warm weather and everything had been pretty advanced, heck, I even mowed the lawn Sunday.

Time will tell.

Thanks for looking!

Wow. Glad we didn't get that here in Va.

We did, however, go from heavy frost last Thursday morning to 95 F on Sunday afternoon--a 63 degree swing, from winter to mid-summer in four days.

Mother Nature sure has been difficult!!!  Only days before this dump it was warm and sunny, I mowed the lawn for the first time and then the snow...... THEN, it got warm, not Texas or Florida or Virginia warm, but Vermont Warm. It was near 80 yesterday and last night it didn't get below 60.

At least later this week it will get more seasonal. Days in the low to upper 60's and nights in the upper 40's. but I have to remember that the date for the 'last frost' so to speak is in the first week in June..... this is Vermont!!!
