we put this rock planting of Kingsvill box wood together yesterday. it was a fun project and the article will be in American Bonsai Society magazine.

here is the picture of the rock before using. cement and super glue is used to attached tie wire. 1.5 mm aluminum.

Here is Pandora. it can be put together within a day. Intensive students help putting it together. it is a fun project.
the large 3 kingsville box wood are 40 year old. the smaller ones are cutting 5 years old.

First, thank you Boon for sharing this! Simply breathtaking and mythical. Second, wish there were rocks like that here in South Carolina. Quartz, quartzite, granite here mostly.

this is bowl rock. it is volcanic kind of like a lava rock. weak point is it break easy. good point is the shape is fun to work with.

Thanks to Peter who went out of his way to find the Na'vi (the blue people) Morten saw the movie Avatar yesterday. he loves it.

Barabara, He did (plan A), but they were sold out everywhere he went. So Plan B was to find them in Retail, which he eventually did (40% off at that!- Hemped with the gas).
