Minus 21 F.....Well it is winter
« on: January 07, 2018, 07:35 AM »
Been fairly cold here in north Vermont. -21F this morning, hasn't been over freezing since before Christmas.
But it is winter. Trees are doing well. My cold room is holding at 33 to 36 degrees and all looks well. My Larch are in the garage with the heating coil under the pots, should be OK....I hope

Just curious. . . Do you always bring your larches into the garage for the winter?

Good day. Yes, I've always brought my Larches into the Garage. It offers a wind free location and I can do a better job with mouse etc control. I have a heat grid system for under the pots that I only plug in when temps fall below about 20F. The Garage is attached but unheated nor insulated. It is moderated in temp a  bit.
