Title: I think it's something in the air...
Post by: jtucker on April 27, 2012, 12:39 AM
Maybe it's the extra oxygen that's released by all the plants surrounding us, or maybe it's a philosophical paradigm, but I don't know that I've ever seen someone working on their trees angry. Sure, bonsai folks get angry about club politics, the price of copper wire, the unavailability of akadama, but when it comes down to it, I don't know that I've ever seen someone angry when with his or her trees...

Just a thank you to my little charges that I hope will one day become bonsai.

i get a little angry when I bend a branch a little too far and hear the snap.

Today I got angry at the caterpillars I found on my oaks.  Same for the snails.

Get a little mad at myself when I pass the recently dead ponderosa.

But other than that, I agree with you.

I am FURIOUS with the stinking squirrels at my place! They are such a problem but it is only because I really like my trees. And I think you are right for the most part, people use Bonsai as a relaxation tool, and for the most part it works. Don.
