High Country Trees

Here are a few photos of trees growing at about 8-10K feet in elevation in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The trees at this location include: Sierra Juniper, Lodgepole Pine, White bark pine, Hemlock and a few others.

Fantastic!  I loved Yosemite when I was there about 13 years ago, way before I started bonsai.  I can only imagine how much more I would appreciate it now that I am into bonsai.

Beautiful photos. Yosemite is a wonderful place to attune one's self to the aesthetic of ancient trees.
