Title: Herbal bonsai??
Post by: galo on November 23, 2011, 12:03 AM
Hi all, I have collected a great specimen with a wide trunk base of "cedron" aloysia  triphylla or lemon verbena, anyone has experience with this type of "bush" to make it bonsai? thanks!

It would be helpful if you'd update your profile to include your location.  A picture would never hurt either, ...both to jar someone's memory as to what that name might actually translate to plant-wise, and to offer advice on styling (though, with it just being collected that's probably a cart-before-the-horse situation).

The answer fit the question and the picture.

To answer your question, no, I can not recall seeing this species as bonsai. I have seen lot's of rosemary bonsai, but they get truly woody. But,maybe you can.
