Brussel's Trip
« on: March 06, 2011, 08:48 AM »
Good Morning All,

Shimsukii and I had a wonderful day at Brussel's yesterday. Our club rented a charter bus and 19 club members made the 5 hour trip from St. Louis. We left at 5:30 am and arrived at Brussel's at about 11:00. Shopped till 3:00 and then left for the return trip arriving back in St. Louis around 8:30. Stowage compartment and every empty seat loaded with trees. What a great time! Shim and I picked up 3 field grown Shimpaku and 1 trident maple. Saw a great JWP that just came out of of quar and was recently potted. Almost brought her home but i restrained myself and stuck to my budget but it was sure tempting. She was beautiful!

We had several from our club attend as well.  I haven't heard a report from our guys on how they liked it.

Sounds like a great time. After my recent move last October, I now live 500 miles closer. It's almost drivable, but I think I'll save the trip for a rendezvous. Would have to leave the plastic at home though, that could be dangerous.  Larry
