Either you like it or you don't

This ought to gets heads spinning faster than Linda Blair in the Exorcist  :D A couple of yrs ago I sat around bored. Got a wild hair up my rear end and decided to torture some Dawn Redwoods and Bald Cypress. The subject here is one Dawn Redwood in particular. I can't show any before pics as they are not on this computer. They may be on the old comp that crashed. If so, I may never get those recovered or I may. Anyway, I basically wrapped the straight upward trunk with coach tape(sticky side up) and then wired from the base to the tip. I then began the process of bending the tree in any way I saw fit(fit for me, not the tree).  :o ing isn't it? Spring of last yr I removed the wire and tape and left them to be. Not really paying attention to them other than feeding and watering. This tree in particular has grabbed my attention this yr. I always stop for a few to view it while I'm amongst my "jungle". I stare at its feathery foliage that seems to flow downward. It reminds me of a river of green. To me it is beautiful. I know to alot it is shit. I've done heard all the negatives from when I posted it's beginning back on bonsaiTalk. I wired it up some just to put more movement on some branches and the lower part of the "cascade". I also placed a piece of wood to push out and seperate more the "cascade" from the present trunk(and the pot it's in). I will probably have to re-wire this later in the yr as they grow fast and thicken quick. If you notice that one upper branch that crosses in front of the trunk before the "hairpin" turn in the trunk, I plan to approach graft it somewhere along that curve next yr. Probably wire some more along the way. Then in 2012(if the world doesn't end  :P) then I will airlayer on the trunk to bring it down some in height. The present trunk comes out of the soil in a bizarre "S" shape. I will airlayer just above that. So without further rambling...here it is.

I kind of like it, if you can thicken the trunk and get some taper that is.

There's a redwood (if I remember correctly) in one of the San Francisco area clubs that's something other than straight.  It's quite unique and fun to look at, whether it's natural or not.
