Dormant Spray
« on: November 15, 2012, 04:48 PM »
I'll be putting the trees away in the next wk or two.  I didn't spray last year and was lucky enough not to have any problems.  But I've since read using a 20% LS spray.  Do I spray the whole tree, incl. bark?  Will it discolor the bark, or damage pots?  And should I spray the inside of the hoop house BEFORE putting them away?

Thanks All!
Chris

20% sounds high to me.  I've always heard something like 20-30 parts water to 1 part Lime Sulfur.  But for Ume, you can make it stronger like 5 parts water to 1 part LS.

Thanks Nathan.  Very good to know, I'll take precautions.

Yenling, you're right.  I clearly memorized it badly lol  Thanks!
