Most of the really good collected trees that I saw from OKlahoma, primarily elms and other deciduous trees were collected off of private property where they had been grazed hard, bush hogged, run over, etc. Made for some interesting trees. However, the one thing I do remember  for sure is that they came from rocky areas that required steel bars, picks, etc. If I remember right, Dale Cochoy went on trip in OK and collected elms. But, the big collectors all semmed to come out of one or the other Tulsa /green country clubs.

Good luck.
