Boxwood questions
« on: April 06, 2012, 12:49 AM »
Here's my one and only boxwood.
I've had it for two or three years and its never left its container.
I'm looking for some advice as I've never done one.
My questions are as follows...

Is it too late in the season to re-pot now?
How much can I get away with cutting back?
How much can I get away with root removal? (The pot I chose below is fairly deep).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Chappy, Welcome to the group.
Nice tree. I have a few Boxwood and find them to be very forgiving. I have been able to cut back the top and the roots fairly severely with out a hitch. It should be noted that I am not an expert but just giving you my experiences.

As for your specific tree I can not see what 'type' Boxwood you have. Some are extremely slow growing while others grow quite well.

Enjoy the ride
