Hi all, I just watched Blade Runner last night and noticed three bonsai; two in the office scene and one at Harrison Ford's apartment  :).  I spot them all the time; like in the most recent Dark Knight.  I'd like to know of others just for fun.  Oh, and in the captain's office on Stargate Universe.  I know many more but will leave it there for now.  Anyone?

The one's in Dark Knight and several commericals are mine. there's good money in renting bonsai and in bonsai wrangling for movies especially. We get asked 8-10 times a year to supply trees for film, TV or commericals.

Fringe season three, episode called Os, in Nina sharpes office behind her desk is a juniper, indoors of course. In their defense perhaps massive dynamic discovered a gene therapy that allows junipers the ability to stay indoors...

Just saw a movie called 13 assassins, which is subtitled from Japanese into English. Tons of bonsai in this, and really good usage of them too! For example, when one of the ronins looking to get hired told boss man that he had led a frugal life and only owned his spear, a bunjingi could be seen in the background. I'm also happy to report that all the bonsai were either outdoors or in a tokonoma.

One of the Characters in Grand Theft Auto V has what looks to be a Chinese Elm in the house.

Persimmon.

A new BMW commercial shows a guy trimming a juniper bonsai in a blue glazed pot...at least they're outside!

Thank.s Brian. I ate a persimmons recently and they are amazing. No seeds.   :(

I think its great we look at trees more than movies, but can we add to this list?
