Title: Bonsai in the Dark
Post by: JRob on November 19, 2009, 07:20 PM
Good Evening All,

I leave for work and it is dark, I get home and it is dark. I only see my trees now in sunlight on Sat & Sunday. This is my least favorite time of the year. But the trees will soon be put into winter storage and then I'll dream and long for spring.

If you have an understanding wife, bring them inside like I do.  If not, then be prepared to do whatever is necessary to make her understanding :)

If ya have an outside work area invest in extension cords and clamp lamps. If ya prefer to work in the field so to speak invest in a headtorch. All work great for me. After work I see my trees after 7:30pm EST

This is a bit of a difficulty for me, too. Although now, I am leaving for work as the sun is coming up and can actually see my trees for a moment before I schlep an hour to work, the many hours away from them wear on me. I get to do things with them on Tuesdays and Sundays. I already found out what happens when you take a job close to home for the sake of being close to home. I won't make that mistake again.

Yeah, I think that was her way of telling me that working on trees in the living room wasn't allowed anymore.  :)

Like many here, I'm hoping to see my trees in the daylight this weekend.

LOL @ flashlight. Fortunately/unfortunately I am not married. Getting better lighting outside is a good idea. Will have to invest in some good lighting.

I am blessed. My wife just says "clean up after yourself". I guess all of those weekends laying ceramic tile has paid off....

Construction Lites and Clip lights........when you have 4 halagens and 8 100 watt bulbs, they lights up the night.
