Some of my "Works in Progress"
« on: May 28, 2012, 09:30 PM »
Hi all,
I was fooling around taking pictures in my backyard and thought I would post a few of the Junipers I'm working on.

looking good! Keep up the good work. I know you said you like junipers but do you literally not have a single tree of another species? If so thats some impressive control.

Hey Nate,
I do have a large bougainvillea, you can see it in the background of one of the pictures also two escallonias, a chinese elm, a very large boxwood project, a shohin mugo pine, a large rescued crepe myrtle stump, a manzanita (that is doing well believe it or not) and three new big sheffeleras that I just rescued this weekend. I have about 20-25 junipers though. They are still my favorite.
See ya at the club meeting next week,
Steve (Tona)

Hey Nate,
On another note. I decided to just bend the main branch of the David Nguy juniper that you helped me with back toward the trunk with a guy wire rather than use raffia to put additional movement into it. You can see it in the picture on the white bench. Still deciding on what to do with the "Shark Fin" jin though.
