and speaking of the convention in sacramento, there will probably ca, sierra and even rocky mountain junipers for sale like crazy from the vendors  (it is a california natives theamed show this year).
 Vendors like the Nguy's and the Shimon's that have a reputation for quality will assure you get a tree that was not just ripped out of the ground last winter or last weekend! remember, you will get what you paid for. A decent Cali with good movement and potential, that has lots of new growth after the second year of collection, will set you back a little $, but you will end up with something nice long after the bite to your wallet has healed.

I for one will be looking for those crazy loads of Sierra and  RMJ's since I have seen one or two in thirty years of conventions.

I went to Maruyama Bonsai Nursery on Saturday. Lot's of collected junipers, lot's for sale based on the conversations I heard.

Were those all Cali Junipers?  Any other varieties?
