Wisteria
« on: April 03, 2010, 09:02 PM »
Didn't want to place these with my thread(Trying to get my crap together) over in the General Discussion. You can go thewre to see pre-blooming pics of my Wisteria. Here are a few pics of it blooming. It's about 85-90% bloomed. Some are slower to bloom out and others look like they may not even elongate to bloom. As stated in the other forum thread this tree is nowhere near complete and has a long way to go.

I love the flow of the trunk, but it looks like there's a big reverse taper. Would it be worth it to get some backbudding and start a new apex entirely?

I guess it could be worth it if I choose to put it back in the ground as it would take many yrs to achieve a new apex. Course need to do that to get the branches to thicken up more. The reverse taper is about its biggest flaw. There were some better trunks where I collected this one but those had grown into the chainlink fence. This one will take many yrs to work on. Also need a much bigger pot. I'm pretty sure it is already rootbound now even though I repotted it back in March.
