Dear Forum members:
The attached photos were taken this morning (July 6th).  I have had this tree for several years, but this year the flowers have really exploded.

Hope you all enjoy!

What do you feed it?

Hi Irene:
I traded this tree for one of my painted sky back grounds with Pauline Muth several years ago.  It is a double trunk tree and never flowered for the first couple years.  Then I decided to let it grow wild, and that is when it started to flower.  I do not prune it back to shape until all the buds have shown themselves..

Barbara: I feed this tree (half a teaspoon of Super bloom 12-55-6 to a gallon of water), once a week through out the spring.. Once in a while I sprinkle Bougain on the Bonsai soil, which is usually the first and the 15th of the month.  That is when I sprinkle all my Bougainvilleas, as well as any other flowering trees.  Most are in bloom right now! Real eye candy!!!!

Very nice.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by 'you don't prune until all the buds have shown themselves'?
