Thaks for th info, I collected one this spring from the landscape, has fungus.

An I have no appreciation for caterpillars - they were "sorted out"...

A lot of the crabs that seed etc... may or may not be fungus resistant like their hybrid parent - or if they are an old variety won't be resistant..  Always have the fungicide spray available. ;)
