Crape Myrtle in bloom
« on: July 24, 2009, 08:00 PM »
Here is a Crape Myrtle that I have been growing for a few years.
I let bloom just to see the flowers and I will prune it back hard  and wire it in a week of two.

Now it is 15" high from the soil line and 2" dia. at the soil line.
I just pruned and wired it this morning.
The first pic shows a few more blooms opened and the second pic is after pruning and wiring.

Thanks Joe, I love the bark as well and it covers over cuts very fast too, like Tridents.
