Another Corkbark Chinese Elm
« on: May 17, 2011, 12:54 PM »
I've seen other posts for corkbark Chinese elm and just thought I'd post one of my project trees that I'm working on.  It was field grown to freely grow for 7 years, then chopped to 14 inches or so and left to grow out in the field another 2  years.  I removed it from the field March 2010 and repotted it into this lower container In February 2011 and it has finally leafed out for another year of working on the canopy.  I have another one but with a larger trunk that's in training as well.
