a winter study... Snow on Bonsai
« on: November 21, 2014, 04:44 PM »
The winter is here, not by the calendar but by the weather. My area isn't seeing Buffalo type snow but we are getting a bit.
I have attached a picture of  my Larch on its last day outside. It is moving inside to the garage. I am also taking it to a workshop with David Easterbrook this Sunday.

Anyone else have a snow covered picture to share?

Jay

Nice shot Sorce.
After this storm, I'm sure there might be some pictures. Hopefully everyone has gotten their trees into their winter homes.
I received about 8 inches, this storm was south and east of me on the whole. I've heard about much higher totals not that far away.
Hope all are well and please drive safely if you are traveling for the holiday.

Yeah, unfortunately no snow pictures.

Winters here in Johannesburg are cold with frost.

But I love the snow covered ones

Thanks for the reminder that we may all be engaged in Bonsai, but our local environments make it different for each of us.
The one thing for sure, we all love doing it!

Loads of places have snow in South Africa but Johannesburg is not one of them.

Sometimes I really wish that we could have a proper snow storm but looking at some of the snow that has hit the US lately, I think I will stay without.
