That is quite similar and  it seems to bark up nicely! Anyone have an idea of how to thicken a rosemary? Looking for ways but so far my middle finger is the thickest trunk I have.

To thicken a rosemary trunk, just let the plant get big. Keep moving it into larger and larger pots. Read up on using sacrifice branches. Brent at Evergreen Gardens has a nice article. IBC Forum has another, use 'search', look for "sacrifice branch", one thread was particularly good.

To make a nice fat trunk shohin, it will first have to be big enough that its roots fill a 3 or 5 gallon nursery can, at least 3 or 4 feet tall and that wide too. Then chop it back.
